Although blink-182 was a band that was, and still is, known for their more fun songs, their 2003 magnum opus was a stark directional change for the band, including punchier percussions, more spastic guitar grooves and dreamier instrumentation to illustrate a darker tone. Blink-182 sees themselves experimental as ever in untitled, opening up a different side of pop-punk that sees more introspective production take place, but carrying on the same problems of the genre.
